If you are looking for your Trakehner's ancestors, you're at the right place. This site focuses on Trakehners, Thoroughbreds and Arabs.

As this is a private and free-of-charge site, the numbers of horses in the database may rise slowly. I am determined to reach the number of 10,000 horses towards the end of 2009. At the moment I am concentrating on horses bred at the main stud of Trakehnen, starting in the 1770s.

Photos will also be added to the pedigrees, but this may take a while, as matters of copyright have to be considered first. If you're in possession of (legal) photos of the horses mentioned in this database and you are willing to share these, please contact me.

Additional information displayed with each horse is most likely to change during the next days, I've just have to make some minor adjustments to the database. The program I'm using (BreedMate) originally focuses on cats and dogs, so there is still some work to do to display things like height, girth, etc.
